Alvis Pyrene MK6 crash tender from the late nineteen fifties (above). Permanent six wheel drive and R/R B81 eight cylinder engine on an AFV651 fighting vehicle chassis as used on Salamander armoured cars and Stalwart vehicles. Some of these vehicles were built for the Royal Canadian Air Force and one went to Ceylon. Carried a crew of up to six and was capable of producing 7500 gallons of foam per minute from the monitor and branchlines.
